Big Chip 10 Awards 2008

Over 500 guests gathered to celebrate the tenth premier digital industry awards event in the North West. Hosted by Terry Christian, the Big Chip 10 Awards 2008 took place on 22nd May at New Century Hall in Manchester.

Managing Director, Steve Swift collected our winning award for the Best Public Sector Project category for innovative use of wireless technology.

IoD Young Director of the Year 2007

Hosted by Sir Trevor McDonald, the IoD North West Director of the Year Awards 2007 took place on 20th September at the City of Manchester Stadium. Over seven hundred guests gathered to celebrate the achievements of the best directors in the North West.

Our own Managing Director, Steve Swift picked up the top accolade as Young Director of the Year for Liverpool and Merseyside.

OGC Buying Solutions Catalist Accreditation

Aerelink have an accredited supplier under the OGC Buying Solutions Catalist framework. This demonstrates our ability to be fully compliant with EU Procurement Directives.

The Catalist framework agreement allows customers throughout the public sector to place orders with Aerelink under the standard terms and conditions of the agreement.

Aerelink Acquires Elwers

As one of Elwers key service partners for several years, Aerelink acquired the radio and microwave parts of the former Elwers business from the administrators in October 2007.

Aerelink already operates an extensive wireless solutions business throughout the UK, and providing services and support to existing Elwers customers was a perfect fit within our current business. Aerelink had provided services to Elwers for the previous two years and therefore was already familiar with many of the former Elwers customers.

Best Small Business 2006

Award winning Aerelink take the "Best Small Business" category for companies with under 250 employees at the 4th Annual Knowsley Economic Forum Enterprise Awards 2006 held on 20th October.

On accepting the award, Managing Director, Steve Swift said: "Our growth and commitment to our staff and customers have been instrumental in Aerelink's success in winning this award."

Aerelink Acquires MMT

The long established MM Telecables finally closed its doors in October 2005 after 21 successful years of business. As a long established partner to MMT its parent company Brand-Rex turned to Aerelink to offer its existing customer base a continuation of service.

Since the acquisition Aerelink have continued to expand and increase its operation, market share and customer base in Scotland and the North of England.

ISO9001:2000 Accreditation

Aerelink, one of the UK's foremost providers of wireless networking solutions, has achieved internationally recognised accredited certification to ISO 9001:2000. Holding the ISO 9001:2000 accreditation is a clear recognition of Aerelink's own investments to make a successful business through best practice.

Best New Business 2004

Aerelink were presented with the award for "Best New Business" at the 2nd Annual Knowsley Economic Forum Enterprise Awards 2004 held on 22nd October.

On the 9th September 2004, Aerelink Limited has been positively recommended as an organisation that meets the Investors in People Standard after its recent assessment.
