| These manufacturers trust Aerelink to deploy and maintain equipment that bears their name. Aerelink have the right solution for your application, no matter what business sector you are in. We have extensive experience in deploying secure wireless networks for clients ranging from the private sector through to central government and from retail through to healthcare. Licensed Microwave
Aerelink has extensive experience in planning, installing and maintaining Licensed Microwave Systems in the enterprise, local government and carrier markets. Microwave Systems should be used for mission critical applications where guaranteed availability is required. ‘Light Licenced’ Radio
This technology allows the cost effective build out of wide area networks, both in rural and urban environment. The technology is robust and well proven, implemented by carriers across the globe for Broadband or Fixed Wireless Access (BWA/FWA) applications, and provides an excellent return on investment, especially when compared with traditional leased lines. Several of our customers have cut their yearly telecommunications spend by half by implementing this technology. Aerelink are the largest installer of this type of technology in the UK.
WiMAX
This exciting new technology combines the licensed predictability of microwave systems with the relative ease of deployment and flexibility of ‘light licensed’ technology. Aerelink are working closely with the major networking vendors on pilot projects, trialing and homologating this technology to ensure that as spectrum is made available to Telcos and end-users, we will be poised and ready to survey and deploy.
Mesh Networking
Wireless Mesh technology is a useful technology that allows you to route data and voice traffic between fixed or mobile nodes. It allows for continuous connections and reconfiguration around broken or blocked paths by “hopping” from node to node until the destination is reached. Mesh networks are self-healing: the network can still operate even when a node breaks down or a connection goes bad. As a result, a very reliable network is formed. Mesh is a useful component in the building of a reliable metropolitan network, using the previously mentioned technologies as a backhaul or ‘midhaul’ element.
Free Space Optics
Free Space Optics (FSO) is a useful, complementary technology to our radio portfolio. It provides short distance, high speed, point to point connections, provided the line of sight between the two buildings is clear. FSO is limited by weather; Dense fog will cause connection problems, and as such we only recommend these products for very short (<1km) distances. Aerelink have one of the most experienced teams with this technology in Europe. | | |
